Tybee Island, Georgia
Quantum Tour proudly presents Tybee Island Beach near Historic Savannah Georgia. Tybee Beach is the nearest beach to visit from Savannah and is a historic location in itself. Civil War "Fort Pulaski" off Hwy 80 on the drive to tybee was breached by the rifled gun used by Union Troops from Tybee Island. Years ago Tybee was only accessable by rail. (Presently a nature/bicycle/walking trail adjacent to Hwy 80.) You can see the "Old Tybee Station" in our Fort Jackson Virtual Tour where it has been relocated. Tybee, the location for the filming of "Glory" among other films, features beautiful beaches, hotels, parks, restaurants, nightclubs and one of the few lighthouses in America. Beautiful Tybee Island is a "must see" when you visit the low country of Georgia.
