If you plan on going to the Petit Jean State park and stay in a cabin then make sure to bring some hot water with you for your shower. Or at least remember that you have five minutes for your shower if you are in a single cabin. If you stay in a duplex, then you will share the hot water with your neighbors. The duplexes have a slightly larger hot water tanks.
I stayed in January 2011.

I've hiked this area and it is every bit as beautiful as this virtual tour. The waterfall trail starts just through the lodge entrance and is a hike for a healthy individual but has steps cut into the steep trail. No camping is allowed at the waterfall, and it says no swimming, but I've heard people swimming there from the top of the trail. The whole area is beautiful and there are a lot of things to do besides hiking. The grave site is interesting and the view is amazing. Petit Jean is my favorite of the tri peaks in the area.
