Welcome to Old Ingram Loop Art Colony in Ingram Texas just West of Kerrville on Hwy. 39

Quantum Tour is proud to bring to you, The Ingram Loop Art Colony. If you are looking for Hill Country art, fine silversmith art, or fine leather work then Ingram Loop is the place for you. World renowned artists such as Don Atkinson and Clint Orms silversmith have found their place in Old Ingram Loop, a gathering of art galleries along the Guadalupe River in a historic setting. Hill Country Art at its finest featuring western art, cowboy art, silversmiths, boot makers, saddle makers, gunsmiths, RV Park and much more.

Just west of Kerrville Texas in West Kerr County is the sleepy little town of Ingram nestled along the Guadalupe River where it meets Johnson Creek. Once a Stage Coach station, this location was a favorite for shingle makers, ranchers, a few outlaws and a Texas Ranger Company. In 1879 Reverend J.C.W. Ingram founded what is now Old Ingram following an Indian Massacre where according to legend, three of the Dowdy children were killed by Comanche Indians while tending sheep. The Indians came upon the children and while probably taking sheep they murdered the three children. When the fourth child was sent out to check on the kids she was also killed with an arrow through the heart. As the town grew it attracted small buisinesses being on the path between Kerrville and Ranches in the area, eventually becoming an area for shingle making and mohair industry.

As the town moved to higher elevation they constructed stone homes which now are the standard in the area. Across Johnson Creek is the nationally acclaimed Hill Country Arts Foundation. Regularly they provide indoor and outdoor theatre, art gallery and art workshops for local and national artists.
