This park is the one of the richest places in Savannah. It is one of the reasons while my wife and I made a plan to go back to Savannah. During our visit we asked several times who was Forsyte, which reminded me on the famous novel The Forsyte Saga, however, noone was able to give us that information. Is there any sight or book where we can find this information?

Thank you for you help.

Regards,

Ranko

I love Forsyth Park. The fountain is gorgeous, there are historic monuments throughout it and it has a wonderful feel about it. The city forefathers were great planners and laid this huge park near the center or end of the historic district. It is a great place for concerts, weddings, or just laying around enjoying the huge oaks and lawn. I've heard it is a place to lay topless but have never seen anyone doing so there. Soccer teams practice there often and it is not uncommon to see many teams practicing all forms of team sports. SCAD Students seem to really enjoy the park for meeting up or laying in the shade studying.
